guidelines
Please keep the following guidelines in mind when making use of The Media Suite:
- Absolutely no food or drink to be open/consumed within the room
- Keep the volume down and be considerate of fellow students (eg phonecalls to be taken outside the room, if working on audio please ask for headphones, etc)
- Only log in to a Mac when the small green button appears on the left hand side of the log in menu box. If it is yellow or red you run the risk of losing your work if you attempt to sign in.
- Try and work on the same Mac each time you use the room as this will significantly reduce the length of time it takes for you to log in.
- The green-screen facility can only function if it is well lit, clean and can produce a uniform chroma-key-green on video. For this reason it is important that nothing is taken into the area that could leave marks or stains (eg. muddy shoes, drinks, etc). Be aware that the curve at the bottom of the green screen is hollow so be careful only to walk on flat ground.
- When leaving please help us to keep the Media Suite tidy by returning any equipment borrowed (eg headphones, memory cards, etc), pushing your chair back under the desk and leaving your work area as you found it.
